An industry certification body plays a vital role in setting and upholding professional standards, ensuring that skills within the workforce meet industry-relevant benchmarks. By providing structured, recognised qualifications, these bodies not only validate technical competence but also strengthen career pathways, enhance employability and drive sector-wide excellence.
In line with this, NHRC convened strategic engagement sessions with key leaders from 12 sectors, mainly Machinery & Equipment, Oil & Gas, Textile & Apparel, F&B, Construction, Agriculture, Hospitality, Logistics, Plastics, Quarry, Telecommunications and Water & Sewerage Services. Led by HRD Corp’s Chief Strategy Officer, Dr. Rony Ambrose Gobilee, these sessions provided a collaborative platform to address certification uptakes, industry challenges and the need for high-quality, industry-aligned programmes. Success stories and insights from various sectors showcased the transformative potential of strong partnerships between industry and certification bodies.
Through structured discussions, open dialogue and networking session, the dialogue aimed at empowering industries to champion certification as a driver of workforce readiness. By promoting accessible, relevant and high-impact certification pathways, HRD Corp is paving the way for a future-ready Malaysia where certified skills translate into innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth across every sector.
