The ‘Meet and Greet Session with HRD Corp Thought Leaders’, held on 4 June 2025 at Eastin Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, brought HRD Corp leaders together to strengthen alignment, collaboration, and shared aspirations in shaping Malaysia’s talent development agenda.

Events Brief

The National Human Resource Centre (NHRC) conducted a working visit to the Malaysian Prisons Department at their headquarters in Bukit Wira Kajang, on 10 September 2025. Led by HRD Corp’s Chief Strategy Officer, Dr. Rony Ambrose Gobilee, and hosted by Deputy Commissioner General of Prison, YBrs. TKP Ahmad Faudzi bin Awang, the session provided a platform for joint efforts to exchange perspectives on vocational training opportunities and employability support, enhancing the prospects of current and former detainees.

Key Highlights:

  • Expand training programme to increase number of prospects with recognised vocational certificates.
  • Refinement of training duration to improve quality outcomes for participants.
  • Joint effort in public advocacy programme to promote the hiring of prospects.

The session served as a platform for open dialogue on areas of alignment between HRD Corp and Malaysian Prisons Department in advancing skills development for inmates.
